Research and Development

We actively encourage our staff to develop their academic careers by obtaining additional degrees such as Masters of Science (MSc) or Doctorate (PhD). Our core staff hold Doctorate Degrees and almost all of our engineers and architects either hold Masters degrees or are currently studying to further their qualifications.

We support our staff members to carry out research work, particularly on topics that have practical commercial applications. Such projects often involve collaboration with universities and industry. Dr. Kemal Hanoğlu has conducted research on the reinforcement of fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) coatings in hollow clay tile wall-filled concrete frames for seismic conditions.

Orient Research is a participant in the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). Our experts have collaborated with European companies to research and develop HIPIN nano-composite systems. The project focused on the development and manipulation of materials in solid or liquid form at the nano-level to improve their insulation properties. We managed this research in two modules: conducting a European market research and identifying potential applications for this technology. The website for this research is http://www.hipin.eu/
